Sitges Carnival Barcelona
Sitges Carnival has to be one of Spain’s wildest parties. Filled with drag dress glitter and costume this fishing village-cum-popular gay resort packs in more than 250,000 revelers and knows how to entertain.
Everyone from all over turn out for the Sitges carnival, dressed up in the most alaborant outfits geared up and ready to party. Jueves Lardero (“Fatty Thursday”) marks the beginning of carnival with a celebration of local dishes not that much eating goes on out here. The busiest days are Sunday and Tuesday, when the local carnival bursts a the seems with coulourful partying and all night activities.
You will see some amazing drag shows. If you havn’t been to Sitges during carnival, when some of Europe’s greatest drag talents come out to strut their stuff you havn’t been to Sitges.
The Carnival takes place around Jan and Feb each year is free and open all day and night.
